In this Video Michele, my daughter Jaime, and myself are doing a photo shoot for “Glitter HeadBands”. Those little bands you see us wearing, believe it or not, have soared in sales!

This is Jaime’s second year in business and her sales will top over 1m, she designed them herself. What started as an idea for my grandaughter’s softball team has turned in to an overnight success! The headbands are carried in collegiate school stores, sold thru her online store http://glitterheadbands.com/ , and in many stores across the US. 

Jaime is also introducing two new products for spring that are being manufactured as we speak.  As a mother I couldn’t be more proud!

“I felt a little rusty, I mean I was able to hit her with some big shots, but couldn’t finish her off. Give credit to her, she’s a tough little cookie,” stated Barber. Many ringside observers that this was Barber most impressive performance to date. Coach Stan Ward exclaimed, “I am proud of Jenny, she has been training for months and came out and executed the game plan. I think this fight was tougher than her last fight, so for her to dominate like she did says a lot about her.” The second half of the fight saw the superior boxing skills of Barber. Ramirez had a few moments, “She caught me with a sneaky little hook once. It was funny because I was able to see, it but just couldn’t get out the way. ..I will be back in the gym to fix that.” During her layoff Barber was able to stay busy by taking some mini-vacations and getting married. “I am ready to go; I just want to pursue my goal of winning a world title. I would also love a rematch with Myriam Chomaz to finish off what I started in France.”  stated Jennifer Barber.

Barber had no problem with execution or movement. She pressed the action and fired off flurries of punches that had the crowd jumping from their seats and cheering wildly as their hometown girl displayed an exhibition of speed, power and finesse that they have come to expect from this gifted fighter. This was her night and she made the most of it. If there was any ring rust from her lengthy layoff…..there was no evidence of it. Barber was in spectacular form with a brilliantly executed plan that was carried off immaculately! This was in fact a glorious night for Barber who is a technician with the precision and technique of a skilled surgeon in the removal of her opponent! Bravo Jennifer….this is the way Women’s Boxing should look! This fight was the main event on this card and it truly deserved it’s place.

“Although I am not particularly fond of this venue from a photographic perspective, (there is no ringside photo opportunities) Roy Englebrecht Promotions and his Battle of the Ballroom production continues to thrill the boxing community. Television and film star David James Elliott from the series JAG and enthusiastic well known boxers such as Chris Byrd were on hand to cheer their favorite fighters on. The venue was packed.” stated Lori Steinhorst

This was shot on my Patio of the Rooselvelt Hotel, Last night of the #140conf. Twitter Conference Party Microsoft. The Microsoft Party happened to be right out side my room in the Pool Area!

So several of us just hung out in my room, ordered Room Service and had a great time!!! No lighting at all…sorry for the Dark and Grainy Video!!!

May of 2008 Chele and I found ourselves bored one night! We decided just for fun to join a few dating web sites.. I know bad idea, but we did it for more fun than anything!

I had been receiving quite a few emails from this one particular Gentlemen. He seriously would send four or five emails a week! They would go something like this……”Hey I see your a big fan of Bon Jovi, I’m a guitarist from the 80′s, I’ll rock your world”! Now do you see why I didn’t reply! So original!

He continued his quest with more and more of the same!…He started sharing personal information about his wealth….he supposedly had his own plane, which he kept at his house and every weekend he wanted to fly me somewhere! This man was relentless!

I would forward the emails to Chele and she would say “well how bad can he be”….”he certainly is persistent enough” or “just give the guy a break”! Finally I gave in, but only if I could bring Chele along on the first date.

He was not pleased, to say the least…but I had zero intention of meeting this guy alone! His idea of our first date in which he had Actually planned was for me to come over to his house and bring everything I would need for the weekend….he stated that I could have the west wing and he would not bother me at all! Yea right….well THAT wasn’t going to happen!

I set up a date for us to meet him at a restaurant ….. mind you I had never met this man! I had a general idea of what he looked like…but until you actually see the person…you really don’t have a clue!

So there we are Chele and I standing outside the restaurant waiting!….Thinking all the while…why oh why am I doing this? We would look at each other and bust out laughing…because we knew…we just knew!

Finally a car pulls up with the music soooo loud you could hear it coming down the road! I said to Chele” Oh God …NO!….this cannot be him..please don’t let this be him”! Of course it was him!…he stepped out of his car with a smile as big as Texas and Say’s “Hey Chick, did ya hear me comin”? We looked at each other and tighten our lips, holding back a burst of laughter as to not be rude!

Yes, I did…I thought that might be you”… I said to him. Holding back with every ounce of strength I could muster. Thinking all the while if Chele let’s one peep out, I’m a goner!

We proceeded into the restaurant, ate dinner…all the while he told us of his possessions! He obviously was extremely wealthy! At one point he looked at Chele and said “Ya know Bella and I are getting married!,, I knew from the moment I first layed eyes on her”! Chele replied OH REALLLY? I just stared straight ahead, trying to swallow my food! GULP!

We had already made plans to go to a nightclub after dinner, but by this time, I was good! I really had no inkling to go anywhere with this man! We ended going anyway all the while this guy played “AIR GUITAR” and talked about Bon Jovi incessantly!

While at the nightclub, he pulled out his cell phone and showed us a video he had recorded of HIMSELF at home playing the guitar. OK by this time I had seriously had enough! We finally left and on the way out he asked if he could speak to me privately! Oh My God I thought, what now, I just want to go home! I smiled politely and said sure….we walked a few feet away and he said “now I am going to call you first thing in the morning, I have a stupendous day planned for us…You need to meet Mom!

Whaaaaat….this is a nightmare I thought! “No really” he said, “she is going to love you as much as I do” GULP, I could barely breathe! At that moment he leaned in and kissed me! I was speechless!

Chele and I had driven ourselves, thank God and the drive home was not pretty! “I told you he was a stalker” but my sweet Michele always the one who sees the best in everyone, I am always the skeptic…said Ahhh he wasn’t that bad!……..”Not that bad..are you kidding me”!

The next morning I just refused to even answer my phone, there was no way! He was as persistent as ever..four texts and three calls all before 10 AM. I called Chele and said “great now what do I do”? Her reply “just call him and see what he wants, he’s nice enough and he really likes you”…..”Ya Think”…I said! “He was just being silly last night Bell, he doesn’t really want to get married” Chele said….”OK I’ll call him back” I said begrudgingly!

Hi Terry this is Bella, I saw that you called and….”Hi Bell, OK …Mom is having us over for Brunch and then I want to take you to pick out a ring, we’ll go to Tiffany’s and then I want to shop, I want to buy you the world…then tonight we’ll fly to Hawaii and make love on the beach”! he said without ever taking a breath!

I just sat there, no reply…”Bella…Bella…are you there” he said, “yes I’m still here, may I please call you right back”! I could not dial Michele’s phone number quickly enough, my hands were shaking uncontrollably, not out of fear, but out of anger!

Hi Honey”I said to Michele……”Hi Sweetie, so how did it go”, she asked? “How did it go, I’ll tell you how it went!…I’m engaged!..I said…..”Whaat” she replied….”oh yea, I’m meeting MOM in a few hours!!!

I’m soo sorry, what are you going to do?” Michele said! “Oooohhhhh Noooo, I am not going to do anything, You Are ” I said! “You got me into this mess, I told you for weeks this guys was obsessed and you said he was sweet, just give him a chance” …..”now YOU call him back and tell him to loose my number and not to bother me ever again” I said.

With much hesitation, she did it!… She called him, he was pissed! Michele told him “What do you expect..you can’t asked someone to marry you and meet your mother on the first date”! “Now she never wants to see or hear from you again”!

I did received numerous calls and texts for another week, pleading for another chance! I never replied….Then one night we were at a mutual friends home and she said “Hey girls, you want to check out this website I just joined? It’s called Match.com! Gulp!
