Simple, chic and elegant, fabulously put together … I would never have thought a white lamp post could be combined into indoor decorating, but it does and with such a French flair.   Alix TheCherryBlossomGirl does it exquisitely!  I’m such a fan of hers and when she recently posted these pics of her newly redecorated apartment it so inspired me to incorporate some of these looks into my own home.

Today is Saturday and all I can dream of is long bubble baths, movies, and maybe a little shopping.  I received a lovely gift from White House Black Market this week, a blue spring dress and matching handbag which I think will be perfect for an upcoming wedding I’ll be attending in California next month.    Thank you to my favorite shopping haunt White House Black Market.

This neoclassical building that was once a railway station in now home to Maison Moschino Hotel.  Moschino has transformed this hotel into every little girls fantasy dreams and turned them into reality.

On cold winter nights nothing is more inviting than beautiful soft and warm fabrics.  Graced with crystals strewn about and maybe a little fur throw, makes everything fabulously glamorous.

I had a dream Sunday evening I was decorating an office space, it was seriously the best designs I’ve ever had.   White shabby chic carpet, the ceiling was painted black and dripping with crystals, vases filled with white flowers, and abstract candy dishes filled with brightly colored candy!   The furnishings were all white, with tan fur throws.  Chandeliers glistening  everywhere…I woke up as I finished it and hurriedly wrote down so many notes, I WILL duplicate this room someday.

Dreams like this are fun, but I often wonder why I dream of design and fashion?  At least three to four nights a week, I wake up and take notes, concepts are best designed at night I think…..

Whether a wedding or baby shower, Tiffany inspired themes are so classy and elegant.  I prefer to always use silver for the table wear and white for the table settings.  So many options to incorporate, being creative is the fun part.

still running holiday errands, a few gifts to still wrap in stunning gold and white, tied with perfectly twisted bows.   wearing hair in an up-do tonight with my St. John fur and cashmere coat.  Gold is the color for me this holiday season, complete  down to my makeup.

A  few years ago I wanted so created a certain theme in my home of RICH royal colors of Gold throughout.  After tallying the total, I thought well this is just ridiculous, I cannot justify spending $1000′s on Christmas Decor.  So I waited until after the holidays, and mind you I went first thing the day after Christmas, and although I spent major $$$$, I saved so much.

So as a suggestion, make a plan, and plan ahead and YOU too will be able to afford some of the best and most beautiful decor out there!
