I’ve been wanting to make a Twitter T-Shirt for a while now, after a few prototypes this is what I came up with!  I also made it in Black, Pink and Grey.   I’ll post my other design next week.

These pictures were taken outside of a Target last night. Michele @azblueeyes and I had gone to dinner and stopped to pick up a few things, we started screwing around in front of the store, Michele snapped a few pictures. Not so good with the nightime photography, obviously…lol

You know Twitter has made an impact on your life, when a random stranger walks up to you and says, ” Hey are you Bella on Twitter “!  I turned my head  so quickly, as it startled me.  I was in Nordstroms yesterday, and this lovely woman walks up to me and says ” I follow you and read your tweets all the time”.

It may have been my 15 seconds of fame, but it was fun and strange at the same time!  She was so sweet, and kind.  She continued on, discussing things in my personal life, IE;  ”so how was the Bon Jovi concert”, “love the dress you bought last week”,” Oh and I just love the crystals you put on your microwave!”…. I’m sure I looked like a deer staring at headlights coming right at me…lol

It was surreal to have a total stranger know so much about me.  I politely answered her questions and return to my quest for the perfect summer shoes.

This taught me two things, to be careful about how much personal information you reveal about yourself.  And, just how bizarre it feels to look into the eyes of a total stranger whom is complementing you beyond belief, discussing my life, hugging me, wanting to shop with me!!!!, and realizing this is how celebrities have to live everyday of every minute of their lives!  It’s kinda scary!

Ironically enough I was able to withhold this post for nine months. That’s exactly how long I have been attempting to Blog!  But now that I am no longer a Rookie here and on Twitter, (this is my sophmore year ya know.. Ha ), I’ve earned the right to Bitch!

First off, why are the employees of Twitter so angry?

Just look at their Avatars, good God..it’s OK to smile! Or may it be that their just pissed off because of their new found FAME!  You see they were added to the ( “Twitter Suggested Users Lists” ),  I’m just sure it was in their contract.   And now, they must deal with their Celebrity Status, and most are handling it quite well, don’t you think? Just try and make a request, go ahead don’t be scared..I do it all the time, just to let them know how very important they are and to give them the opportunity to be so utterly bothered by an ordinary Twit!

Secondly, The suggested user list for Twitter!

I would have aptly named it, ” The self promoting, egotistical, don’t bother me, just read my Tweets of Twitter  , but PLEASE don’t ever expect us to talk or respond to you, just listen to how Fabulous we and our lives are, LIST”  !! )

Third, Twitter Contests!

Can I just point out how flawed Voter Driven Contest are, So fundamentally wrong!  Let’s start off with the “Shorty Awards”.  OK I must admit, I have never heard of them.  But someone sent me a tweet stating I had been nominated in some Random Category?  So off I went to discover the absurdness of yet another Contest!  Just check out these Categories and the Nominees!

In the top row David Archuletta is in 3rd Place for Customer Service?..For what?  <<Look now he’s a teacher!!..in the Third Row!..And quite an accomplished Chef in the Fifth Row!!!

So what’s the point?  Validation of any Contest on Twitter is zero!  OK so check this one out below!!  Even worse….

Ms. Twitter of the Month Contest! 

Ok so is this like Playboy?  I am not posing nude…trust me on that one!

This one BLOWS my mind!  First off why is every other avatar Crystal Chappel?  Secondly what do we win?  Thirdly <<is that word?… Bots!! are voting..If you watch the statistics, just pick one person and watch the voting process, it’s crazy.  Most of whom are in the top ten, do not follow anyone, do not tweet, and some only have like 100 followers? 

The  game  this website is playing is too generate clicks, not to mention the insanity it causes for those who want validation so badly!  I’ve seen it in the stream, ” Please Vote For Me ” over and over in the stream.   A perfect example of this is @AriaaJaeger!  Who in their right mind would say ” Vote For ME and do it every 20 minutes? “  Serious Lack of Social Skills!!!

I too would be excited if I were to received maybe a CROWN, or maybe even a SASH that said how wonderfully popular I am.  Ohh and maybe a Blinking, Crystal encrusted AVATAR the says, ” Look at ME, I’m Ms. Twitter “  , ok maybe THEN I’d throw my hat into the ring and make an ASS out of myself !!!

Ya’ll know how much I love Twitter, but may I suggest they do some serious revamping.   First start with some Quality Customer Service.   Are their phones at Twitter Headquaters? Hmmmm, I don’t think there is?

The Tempest in Twitterville may soon be over.

Seeking to soothe the tweeting masses, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said Monday that the micro-blogging darling of the Internet would soon jettison its hand-picked and widely scorned “Suggested Users List.”

Intended as a tool for newcomers to quickly find other Twitter users to “follow,” the list of rap stars, politicos and TV stars was seen by many as capricious and an unfair plug for celebrities who already have more celebrity than they know what to do with.

“That list will be going away” Stone told reporters at a conference in Malaysia. “In its stead will be something that is more programmatically chosen, something that actually delivers more relevant suggestions.”

Translated as a “tweet,” those 140-character text-bursts that are the coin of Twitter’s realm, Stone’s statement might have read: “you hate it; we get it; stand by while we figure out a new system.”

Controversial right out of the gate when it was introduced earlier this year, the list was blasted by companies jealous of competitors that had made the cut, by political watchdogs who claimed it favored Democrats over Republicans, and by everyday users who felt the tool was superficial in delivery and undemocratic in design.

“It kind of read like a tabloid list,” said Sausalito marketing professional Rod Bauer, an early adopter of Twitter. “It kept changing, but it’s sort of ‘who’s in the news’ with people like

Paris Hilton, as opposed to, say, leaders in stem-cell research or sustainable farming. Some of these celebrities have PR people blogging for them, so what’s the point of following someone who’s not even writing their own tweets?”

Some critics likened a place on the list to having Twitter cut you a check, since more followers equals more traffic to Web sites mentioned in tweets, which can equal more revenues from on-site ads. One study showed that a user who made the list gained an average of 53,000 new followers after a week and 170,000 in the first month.

Fueling the resentment, said Mark Glaser, executive editor for PBS’s online site MediaShift, was that “you couldn’t tell how anyone was chosen for the list, and Twitter never explained it. Inside techie people who had been on Twitter from the start were suddenly passed over for celebrities and they felt that was unfair to them.”

Actually, Stone did “explain” the process in a blog post back in March, but it was fairly vague and included the Twitter staff doing “a gut check.”

Glaser, who has written about the list, said his biggest complaint “was that Twitter employees were put on it. So you’d see something like ‘Jenny from Twitter’ has 230,000 followers and you’re thinking how did that happen?”

On Twitter all day Monday it was Ding-Dong! The list is dead!

“I’m glad,” one user tweeted. “Got stuck with Kim Kardashian for a week.”
