Reverse French Manicure in Matte Black

OPI Matte Nail Lacquer in Russian Navy, $8.50. Also try: Knock Out Cosmetics Flatte Nail Polish in OX, $19.
OPI and Zoya are both have matte-finish nail polishes, the perfect wear-if-you-dare trendsetting look.
How to Get the Look:
1. Do not use base coat, top coat, speed dryer, or lotions with these polishes.
2. Apply two coats of an OPI Matte shade (Russian Navy – blue in the second picture and You Don’t Know Jacques – black matte shown in first picture).
3. (Optional) Apply the matching glossy polish to the tip, creating a unique French design.
After posting the picture of the black nails in yesterday’s post, I received so many request’s on how to do this. Hope you enjoy the quick tutorial above.

That is probably the only way I would wear matte nail polish. I have to have a little bit of shine. This is the best of both worlds.

The first color (black matte) is not You Don’t Know Jacques – black matte. It is Lincoln Park After Dark – Matte.
