One of the best things about Monday’s is a ritual that has been lingering on for several years. Bubble baths and a good magazine followed by a yummy dessert. I don’t even remember how this started, but it is indeed something that gets me through. I tend to be a re-warder (is that even a word?) So somewhere in there I guess is where it all started.
In the first picture Lauren Conrad shows off her beautiful bathroom.

Ombre Nails—Counter to first impressions, you don’t need an airbrush to master this look. All you need are two polish colors and a good dabbing hand!
“Start by painting the darker color in a rough U-shape. Don’t forget to lay it on thick! Next, fill in empty space with the lighter color. Wipe off the excess polish, and start swirling where the polishes meet. A layer of topcoat will help blend the colors together more!” says Refinery29
Something new and fun to try out this weekend! Don’t you love them?

Hello, something as simple as the weather can put me in the best mood. First time wearing long sleeves in months. The funniest part about living in Arizona is, when the weather gets into the 70′s we start bringing out the coats and scarfs.
Do WE know how utterly ridiculous this is … ummm yeah. But after living in what seems like hell for four months our bodies go into shock.
So last night I went out to dinner and we opted for the patio to enjoy our beautifully cool evening. It was all of 72 degrees. Luckily I had some coats in the trunk of my car (a girl must always be prepared, ya never know.) Funniest part of all was when the waitstaff started turning on the overhead outdoor heaters.
Wimps we are when it comes to weather in Arizona, but we do live in HEAVEN for eight months of the year!

How elegant are these lovely little cupcakes? You’re guest will be dazed and amazed with your talents if you present these at your next dinner party.
Quite simple actually – what I did was make my favorite milky chocolate cupcakes, piped the frosting and topped of with the strawberries. Directions below for the glitz part (flame). : ) These pictures are from the fabulous sprinkle bakes.
Daze and Amaze Always Dolls!
18-24 Strawberries – you’ll need as many as you have cupcakes
Vodka, rum, or your choice of liquor 80 proof or higher (use Bacardi 151 for fail-proof results).
Hollow the strawberries carefully. If you pierce the side of the strawberry accidentally, start with a new one. Since you’ll be setting the liquor aflame, it is important that the strawberry isleak-proof.
Set one strawberry atop each frosted cupcake. Fill strawberries with liquor just before lighting (see tips). If you need to light them all at once, (say, for a party) use a turkey baster to quickly fill all the strawberries and a grill lighter in lieu of matches. via sprinkle bakes
A great weekend project, don’t you think?
Happy weekend luvs…..

New products arriving daily, new looks and fun as always to try!
This one is not an exception, Fab new magnetic polish comes out tomorrow at Sephora are you going to try it?
“Step aside, crackle nail polish! These magnetic shades, launching exclusively at Sephora on October 1st, create a 3D wave effect. To get the look, apply a base coat and two coats of the polish. Before the second coat dries, hold the magnetized bottle cap over the fingernail. After 10 to 15 seconds, the magnet will shift the polish particles, leaving you with nail art.”
Big announcement on my blog this weekend about a crazy fun giveaway, over 100 winners! Can’t wait to share… stay tuned!!

Daydreaming or day-tripping? Always a dreamer, or so I’ve been accuse of. Gorgeous pictures to get lost in and have a little dream yourself! Of late I’ve often thought of a seaside cottage where I can write, blog and tweet. Three of my favorite things. The dress in the first picture is what I would wear while sipping cappuccino endlessly in a hammock while reading a juicy book to get lost in.
Happy Wednesday Luvs….
P.S. A super fun announcement coming up on my blog in the next couple of days, can’t wait to share! Let’s just say it’s includes shiney sparkly things and a giveaway… a BIG giveaway!

Alone these pieces don’t have the same effect. But brilliantly accessorized takes it to a entirely different level.
The difference between dressing and dressing well is the DETAILS. As shown perfectly in these Ann Taylor selections. The polka dot scarf in the first picture brings this entire outfit together! Without it, I find in ordinary. Slip on the faux fur wrap and vest paired with the gloves and you’re ready for just about any event. Heads are sure to turn when you wear a piece that’s unexpected.
Every fall I take my favorite pieces from the prior year and update them with this year’s most current accessories. Ann Taylor was my go to place to find everything I desired and more. And nothing makes you feel more GLAMOROUS than faux fur, it’s beyond fun to wear!
Where do you find your favorite items, I’d love to know!

Has your hair lost its sparkle? Maximize your GLOSS effect with these techniques!
Mix several tablespoons of honey and olive oil. Then, apply this homemade mask to ends, working your way up to coat the entire head. Leave in for 20 minutes and rinse out with shampoo and conditioner. “It’s mother nature’s secret to shiny hair!”
Over time, the accumulation of styling product can be a drag. It clings on like a needy boyfriend, weighing hair down and stripping its sparkle. To ditch the buildup, I recommends adding one tablespoon of baking soda to two tablespoons of your shampoo. The sodium bicarbonate will remove the stubborn, sticky residue.
You wouldn’t brush your teeth with sandpaper and the same should be said of your locks. “Upgrade to a natural boar bristle brush,” says Jill Guzzo, stylist at NYC’s Butterfly Studio Salon. Natural bristles evenly distribute the natural oils in hair and smooth the cuticle to create a polished finish.
Natural coral lipstick, topped with a light layer of gloss.”
Makeup artist Matin Maulawizada, brand ambassador for Laura Mercier, was inspired by the rock ‘n roll vibe of the 1980s when he created Claire Danes‘s eye-catching look at the 2011 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. But rather than giving the star a thick swipe of opaque lipstick, he opted for a more contemporary finish: Gel lip color in a sheer red orange.
Whether it be your hair or lips, both look better shining! Gloss always – thick heavy lips that look dry are just not kiss worthy!

Dainty pink cookies sandwiched together with a silky ganache look as if they belong on a restaurant’s petits fours plate.
Enjoy this recipe below, it’s soooo amazing and delish!!!!
Hope you had a relaxing weekend!
RASPBERRY CHOCOLATE FRENCH MACAROONS
- 6 oz sliced blanched almonds (not slivered; 2 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Red or pink food coloring
For chocolate raspberry ganache
- 3 oz fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (60 to 64% cacao), finely chopped
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
- 1/16 teaspoon raspberry extract (preferably McCormick brand)
- Special equipment: parchment paper; a gallon-size sealable plastic bag (not pleated)
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Pulse almonds with 1/2 cup confectioners sugar in a food processor until very finely ground, 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer to a bowl. Sift in remaining cup confectioners sugar, stirring to combine.
Beat egg whites with salt in another bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until they just hold soft peaks. Add granulated sugar, a little at a time, beating, then increase speed to high and continue to beat until whites just hold stiff, glossy peaks. Add drops of food coloring to reach desired shade and mix at low speed until evenly combined. Stir almond mixture into meringue with a rubber spatula until completely incorporated. (Meringue will deflate.)
Spoon batter into bag, pressing out excess air, and snip off 1 corner of plastic bag to create a 1/4-inch opening. Twist bag firmly just above batter, then pipe peaked mounds of batter (the size of a chocolate kiss) onto lined sheets about 1 1/2 inches apart. Let cookies stand, uncovered, at room temperature until tops are no longer sticky and a light crust forms, 20 to 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, put oven racks in upper and lower thirds of oven and preheat oven to 300°F.
Bake cookies, switching position of sheets halfway through baking, until crisp and edges are just slightly darker, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely on sheets on racks, about 30 minutes.
Make ganache while macaroons bake:
Melt chocolate with cream in a metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water or in top of a double boiler, stirring until smooth. (Bowl should not touch water.) Remove bowl from heat, then add butter and raspberry extract, stirring until butter is melted. Let stand at room temperature until cooled completely and slightly thickened.
Carefully peel cookies from parchment (they will be fragile). Sandwich a thin layer of ganache (about 1/2 teaspoon) between flat sides of cookies.
