Fall Invokes Hermes

Nothing invokes the thought of Fall more than Hermes. The gorgeous tones always bring me back to my favorite time of year!

Shoes I’m Obsessing Over For Fall!
August 30th, 2011

I saw these at Nordstrom’s the other day and fell in love. Miu Miu heels.
I’ve been so busy decorating lately that shopping has fallen by the wayside. Stopped in Nordstrom’s for a new pair of sunglasses and ended up in the shoe department! Surprise!!!
Fall can’t come soon enough, I am soooo over this heat. Arizona’s weather has been brutal this year and my sweaters are calling my name. Every September I go through and purge my closet. This year I am especially looking forward to it. As the fall trends have me ready to start loading up on some new and improved fashions.
What trends are you looking to the most this fall?

Feathers, Pink Chairs and Flowers
August 7th, 2011

Hello everyone! I’ve missed you and my blog. I had to rework the back end, no visible changes yet, but there will be.
In my last post I mentioned I had just moved and was in the middle of redecorating, one of my favorite pastimes! I am doing the craziest designs yet. For instance, the second picture down is my inspiration for my dining room chairs. Yep, feathers! I LOVE glamour, I’m single, not a DROP of testosterone in the house. : )
Have you ever thought of using boa feathers for a valance? Or how about crystal curtains? And the best idea yet, putting a thin line of swarovski crystals along the base of a dining room table. Am I crazy, maybe, personally I think eccentric is the word. Can’t wait to share the DIY pictures.
Hope all of you have been well!

Wednesday obsessions …
August 4th, 2010
The style and the price just blew me away! So much GLAMOUR, in two obviously different shoes!
The sheer fabric on the first shoe makes me swoon, and the flower detail on the second, is such a feminine touch.

Satin and Chiffon, Chinese Laundry, $89; visit chineselaundry.com for stores

Rubber, J.Crew, $20; at jcrew.com.
Personal update: So this week I’ve been waiting on two very important bits of news, how do you guys handle the WAITING? For me, not so good at it, you see, I’m a type A personality, impatient as one can be and frankly it’s interrupting my sleep!
So today, I say this out-loud, Dear Lord, please quit trying my patience, enough already… OK
DIY … Glam up your kicks
July 29th, 2010

You can always count on couture shoes to add some sizzle to a simple outfit, but that perfect pair of pumps can cost a pretty penny. Thankfully, a lot of recent runway trends are easy to DIY. Here are some temporary (and some not-so temporary) transformations that will add a bit more sass and style to your step.
And while you’re busy crafting kicks for yourself, you can set your kids up with a DIY project too. Check out the picture below.

Instant Outfit Makers!
March 16th, 2010
As I was reading this weekend I came across some of the most fabulous accessories to make any outfit pop!
The Accessory: Platform Sandals
If you’re game to show a lot of leg, accent pieces like thigh-grazing miniskirts with chunky sandals. A loose silhouette, as seen on Fendi’s runway, will keep the rest of your body under wraps—and further emphasize your endless stems.
Double Cuffs
Slip on a pair of statement bracelets for a striking (and unexpected) addition to an understated dress. Tyra Banks accentuated her asymmetrical sheath with a square silver set, while Demi Moore accessorized a strapless number with massive cabochon cuffs.
Colorful Clutches
Freshen up last year’s dress with an oversize clutch in a fun shade. Eva Mendes chose an aqua bag to accent her long lace gown, while Gabrielle Union carried a bright yellow patent clutch that matched her narrow belt.
Gold Shoes
Why match your shoes to your clothes when you can highlight the flash of your every day jewelry? Both Kate Walsh and Carrie Underwood brought out their bangles with the addition of 24kt heels—just think what a gilded pair could do to your wedding band.

Bright Scarves
Both warm and colorful, these double-duty accessories frame your face and brighten up your outfit. Claudia Schiffer added contrast to her black and white look with a shocking pink and acid green print, while Malin Akerman dressed down a black-sequined tank with a teal infinity scarf.
Neon Heels
Hotly-hued shoes are the perfect antidote to a monochromatic look. Claire Danes turned up the heat on a little silver dress with crimson peep-toes, while Sarah Jessica Parker gave an all-black outfit a whimsical touch with beribboned hot pink heels.
